The 99¢ Jackpot — Official Rules
1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A purchase or payment will not increase your chances of winning. Void where prohibited by law.
2. Eligibility
Open to legal residents of the United States who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry. Employees of The 99¢ Community and their immediate families are not eligible. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
3. Entry Period
Each monthly drawing period begins at 12:00 AM ET on the 1st day of the calendar month and ends at 11:59 PM ET on the last day of the calendar month (“Entry Period”).
4. How to Enter
Method 1 — Automatic Entry (VIP Subscribers): Active 99¢ VIP subscribers ($0.99/month) are automatically entered into each monthly drawing during their active subscription period. One entry per subscriber per monthly drawing period.
Method 2 — Free Alternative Method of Entry (AMOE): To enter without a VIP subscription, complete the free entry form at the99community.com/vip/jackpot/free-entry. Provide your full name, email address, and state of residence. Limit one free entry per person per monthly drawing period. Free entries have the same odds of winning as VIP automatic entries.
Method 3 — Mail-In Entry: Hand-write your full name, email address, mailing address, and the words “The 99¢ Jackpot [MONTH YEAR]” on a 3×5 index card and mail it in a stamped envelope to: [ADDRESS — TO BE DETERMINED]. Limit one entry per person per stamped envelope per monthly drawing period.
5. Drawing
One winner will be selected by random drawing on or about the 1st day of the following month. The drawing uses a cryptographically secure random number generator. All eligible entries received during the Entry Period will be included.
6. Prize
The prize consists of 70% of the net monthly VIP subscription revenue pool after payment processing fees (Stripe fees of approximately 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction). The remaining 30% of the net pool is retained by The 99¢ Community. The actual prize amount varies based on the number of paid VIP subscribers during the Entry Period.
7. Odds of Winning
Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Entry Period. Each eligible entry has an equal chance of winning regardless of entry method.
8. Winner Notification
The winner will be notified by email within 48 hours of the drawing. The winner must respond within 48 hours to claim the prize. If the winner does not respond within 48 hours, an alternate winner will be selected.
9. Taxes
The winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes. For prizes valued at $600 or more, the winner will receive an IRS Form 1099-MISC. The 99¢ Community may require the winner to complete a W-9 form prior to prize disbursement.
10. General Conditions
The 99¢ Community reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the sweepstakes if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond reasonable control impairs the integrity of the sweepstakes. The 99¢ Community reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process.
11. Privacy
Information collected from entrants is subject to The 99¢ Community's Privacy Policy. Entrant data will only be used for the purposes of administering this sweepstakes and will not be sold to third parties.
